The xx announce April Australian tour

The hype surrounding English indie pop darlings The xx has proved to be anything other than short-lived.

Following on from their highly lauded debut xx, their sophomore album Coexist came in at number two on the ARIA charts when it was dropped in September.

When they brought their minimalist, melodic sounds Down Under last July to play two intimate shows in Melbourne and Sydney, both venues sold out in next to no time at all.

Giving more of us the opportunity to catch them this time around, they'll be stepping up to play Festival Hall in Melbourne, Hordon Pavillion in Sydney, Brisbane's Convention & Exhibition Centre and Metro City in Perth.

Be quick to snap up some tickets to these four shows, as I dare say they won't last long:

Tuesday April 2 - Metro City, Perth
Thursday April 4 - Festival Hall, Melbourne
Sunday April 7 - Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Tuesday April 9 - Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Brisbane

General onsale tickets available from 12pm (AEDT) Tuesday, January 15.
